Cottage Addition & Renovation

 

This small cottage was transformed into a spacious four bedroom home for a family seeking a better connection with the outdoors.  A primary goal of the client was to retain the charm of the original home. This was achieved by replicating original shapes of the roofline on the facade and matching the 1920s trim details inside.

 

The home doubled in size with the addition of a large eat-in Kitchen, Mud Room, two bathrooms and a Master Suite. 

 

A new composite decking porch wraps around a large treasured Japanese maple tree.  The porch leads to the garden through a welcoming arch inspired by the front façade.
